We are committed to using organic produce, beans, grains, eggs, and dairy whenever possible, and are constantly expanding our use of organic ingredients. We are a Bay Area certified Green Business, using minimal and compostable packaging for much of our take-out food. We are committed to reducing our use of energy and water resources, and are further exploring eco-friendly and sustainable business practices.

Juices and Smoothies

We offer fresh carrot, orange and grapefruit juices, using all organic produce. Prices are subject to change according to availability. Additions such as fresh ginger, protein powder, and spirulina are available for an extra change. Our Smoothies are available in the 16 ounce size only.

Orange banana
A simple smoothie with lots of banana and freshly squeezed orange juice. $4.25

Sunset smoothie
Combines banana, yogurt or soymilk, and fresh orange and/or carrot juice. $4.50

Sea Monster
Combines banana, fresh orange juice and spirulina. $4.85

Banana Smoothie
Combines banana, ice, nutmeg and a choice of organic 2% milk or soymilk. $4.25

Peanut Butter Smoothie
A fave among Juicebar members, this smoothie combines banana, ice, organic peanut butter, and milk or soymilk. $5.00


Sandwiches

We pre-make our sandwiches fresh each day, using all organic produce, organic sprouted whole wheat breads from Alvarado St. Bakery, and organic sourdough Baguettes from the Cheeseboard Bakery. In addition to our regular menu, we feature special sandwich and wrap selections daily. Call or stop in for details!

Turkey
We use free range, hormone and antibiotic free turkey breast, roasted and carved in house, with lettuce, tomato, and a choice of mayonnaise or mustard. Wheat $6.25/Baguette $6.50

Tuna
We make our tuna salad with mayonnaise, chopped celery and green onion, Served with lettuce and tomato. Wheat $5.50/Baguette $5.75

Egg Salad
We use fresh, organic eggs, and make our egg salad with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped celery and parsley, served with lettuce and tomato. Wheat $5.25

Avocado and Jack Cheese
Ripe organic avocado and sliced Monterey Jack cheese, served with lettuce, tomato and choice of mayonnaise or Dijon mustard on a fresh baguette. $6.00

Havarti and Sun-dried tomato spread
Our house-made sun-dried tomato spread and sliced Havarti cheese, served with red onion and baby spinach on a fresh baguette. $6.00

Tofu [vegan]
We use organic firm tofu, marinated in a soy, sesame ginger dressing, and baked with garlic. Served with caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato and a chipotle 'veganaise.' Wheat $6.00

Hummus Wrap [vegan]
Our tangy house-made hummus with fresh organic vegetables, served in a whole wheat wrap. $5.25

Jarlsberg on Focaccia
Sauteed veggies, Jarlsberg Cheese, baby spinach and garlic-basil aioli, served on our fresh, homemade focaccia bread! $6.00

Soup

Our soups are made in-house, and change frequently. We use a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, beans, and spices. We always offer a vegan, vegetable/bean-based soup, and frequently offer a turkey/vegetable soup. Try some with one of our warm breadsticks! Small $3.05, Large $4.30

Salads

Our salads are all vegetarian, made with organic, seasonal produce. They are available individually, or in 2 and 3-way combinations.

Cabbage Salad
Shredded cabbage and carrots, tossed with green onion and toasted sesame seeds, served in an Asian-style vinaigrette dressing

Broccoli Salad
blanched broccoli and carrots in a ginger soy dressing, served with toasted sesame seeds. This salad is available primarily in the fall/winter months.

Cucumber Salad
sliced cucumber, tossed with red onion, chopped cilantro, peanuts and chili flakes, served in an Asian-style vinaigrette. This salad is available primarily in the spring/summer months

Spicy Asian-Style Noodle Salad
We use fresh egg noodles, tossed with chopped vegetables in a slightly spicy dressing, made with fresh ginger, garlic and lemongrass.

Brown Rice Bowl
One of our most popular items, we use freshly steamed organic brown rice, served with one or more of our dressed vegetable salads, topped with a delicious house-made peanut sauce. $6.25

Hot Dishes

Our Hot foods are primarily vegetarian, prepared in-house and served fresh throughout the day. While we make an effort to offer our full menu to each customer, certain items are seasonal, or may not be available later in the day. In addition to our regular dishes, we also offer special items on occasion. Please call or stop by for availability.

Quiche of the Day [vegetarian]
Our quiches use organic dairy and eggs, served in our house-made pastry crust with a selection of vegetables and cheeses. Selections vary daily. $5.05/slice

Black Bean Polenta Casserole
One of our specialties, our black bean polenta is hearty and delicious. A thick layer of our savory polenta, topped with seasoned black beans and a choice of cheddar cheese or mild salsa [vegan]. $5.30/portion

Spinach Lasagna [vegetarian]
With a delicious spinach-ricotta filling, we use our special marinara sauce and a mixture of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. $6.30/portion

Vegetarian Pizza
We make our pizza dough fresh each morning, using a mixture of organic white and wheat flours. We use our special marinara sauce with a selection of cheeses and vegetables. $3.05/slice

Polenta Pizza [vegetarian]
We incorporate Parmesan cheese and fresh garlic into our polenta "crust," and top with cheeses and vegetables. $4.05/portion

Mac n' Cheese [vegetarian]
We use organic penne pasta in our rich, delicious variation of an old favorite. Made with either roasted mild green chilies or sun-dried tomatoes, baked until golden brown with breadcrumbs and Parmesan. $5.55/portion

Turkey Shepherd's Pie
This very hearty dish is made with pieces of free range turkey, gravy, sauteéd celery, carrots and onions, topped with mashed potatoes and served in our house-made pastry crust. This dish is seasonal, offered primarily in the fall/winter months. $7.55/slice

Sweets and Baked Goods

Our sweets and baked goods are made with organic ingredients, and cater to a selection of special diets. Please feel free to ask about specific ingredients.

Muffins
Our muffins are excellent by themselves, or as an addition to any dish. We frequently offer our popular cornbread-style muffins, occasionally baked with various fruits and veggies. We also offer other specialty muffins, namely our famous [and delicious] buckwheat yam muffin on Saturdays. Plain corn $1.50/each Specialty muffins $1.75/each

Focaccia
Our focaccia is made with our fresh pizza dough, and baked with fresh veggies, extra-virgin olive oil, and kosher salt. $1.50/slice

Fruit Pie
We always offer a seasonal fruit pie, made with our house-made pastry and organic produce. Depending on availability, we use a selection of fruit including apple, pear, and strawberry/rhubarb. $4.25/slice

Vegan Chocolate Tofu Pie Available in the spring/summer months
This chilled pie uses a graham cracker/almond crust, with a smooth, chocolaty filling made from silken tofu and semi-sweet chocolate. $4.25/slice

Sweet Potato Pie Available in the fall/winter months
We use our house-made pastry crust, and a filling made from organic sweet potatoes, spices, organic dairy, sugars, and molasses. $4.25/slice

Cookies
Made with organic ingredients using our special recipes, We offer a variety of flavors including chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal ginger, vegan ginger chocolate chip, vegan lemon poppy-seed and a decadent decaf-espresso brownie! $2.00/each

Catering

We are generally able to cater most items on our menu. We require a minimum of 24 hours notification for catering orders, but may need more notice for large or complex orders. Given the small space of our kitchen, we are not always able to cater hot items, but we frequently cater these dishes cold or par-baked, which you can fully heat or finish off at home [with clear instructions of course!] This method tends to work best for Juicebar members and customers alike. Please call with catering questions or to place orders. We cannot take catering orders by email. A few of our most popular catered dishes:
